Movie poster art is a thing of the past. Its rare today we get anything that actually tells you about the movie or gives you some sense of what its about. Comedies are all just the main cast standing in supposedly ammusing poses, horror movies are just some bland half hidden picture that looks sterile and generic, kids movies are usually one color with either one character or a symbol on it and thats it or action movies are the hero photoshopped up and put infront of something burning or just standing looking away like they are so cool they are bored.
So Ill take you on a short trip into what I consider to be some of the best posters in movie history. I chose them on just the sheer artistic talent, mood/tone, striking and memorable images or just plain cool. But all these posters I recalled quite easily as a child and adult that really stuck with me for one reason or another.
